"The Italian Stallion"
The Poggio Landi Brunello di Montalcino 2012 is intense and elegant. It is matured in French oak casks for 38 months, giving it a superb complexity. The nose is intense with ripe red fruit flavours enhanced by black pepper and licorice. In the mouth it convinces with well balanced persistent tannins, red fruit aromas, hints of spices and a very long finish. The 2012 vintage has a remarkable structure and the ideal characteristics for long ageing. It scored some of the highest scores at various wine competitions including 97 points at the Decanter World Wine Awards, 92 points by James Suckling and 92 pts from Robert Parker.
